01 Apr: 6 Ways To Overcome Self Doubt

Self-doubt can become a persistent, powerful voice that holds us back from stepping into our legacy! In over 15 years of coaching leaders, I talk with so many about getting their “swagger” back or possessing a holy confidence. Every great leader possesses “it”! To get there, however, we have to overcome our self doubts.Let me be your digital coach by giving you 6 Ways To Overcome Self Doubt:

01 Apr: Prayer, Fire and Incense: What Goes Up Must Come Down

In January 1993, I traveled to the Czech Republic with a group of intercessors to join the believers there in “christening” their new nation to the Lord. While standing on the platform before Don Drapal’s Christian Fellowship of Prague, a series of words seemed to fall into my mind.“Have you considered the multidirectional dimension of prayer?”This sentence captured my attention, but I did not have time to ponder it, as it was time for me to deliver my next statement. Then the words, “Remember, what goes up must come down!” burst into my conscience. What was the Lord trying to tell me? Does prayer have more than one direction?

01 Apr: The 1 Thing The Devil Doesn’t Want To Hear You Say

While we live in a world where it seems that anything goes, I’ve found that the majority of people believe God is mad at them. Burdened with guilt and shame, and reflecting upon life’s difficulties, too many believe what they’re going through is from the hands of a divine entity trying to get them back.Maybe you’ve said something like this:“I’m sick because I sinned.”“I’m in financial struggle because I did something wrong.”“This disaster happened because God is punishing us.”These are lies! Sickness, poverty and disaster aren’t the works of God. No, they are the works of the devil, which Jesus came to destroy (see 1 John 3:8). As I explore in my book, Silence Satan: Shutting Down the Enemy’s Attacks, Threats, Lies, and Accusations, it’s a slick deception of Satan to ascribe his works to God, through which he accomplishes at least three goals. First, Satan removes himself from the limelight and places the focus on God as the author of all evil. Secondly, he seeks to keep you in misery, believing that it’s God’s will for you to suffer in such ways.

01 Apr: What You Believe About Tomorrow Will Affect How You Live Today

There’s a lot of end-time speculation that is simply that: speculation. What year will Jesus return? Will the antichrist be a European atheist? A Middle Eastern Muslim? An Israeli Jew? And what about the Temple in Jerusalem? Will it be rebuilt? If so, how and when? These are all interesting questions. But for the most part, they don’t affect the way we live today (unless you happen to believe Jesus is coming today – in which case, why are you even reading this article?).But there are larger, end-time scenarios that do affect how we live today, including those that set dates for Christ’s return. Before getting into specifics, though, let me paint a picture for you.

01 Apr: 3 Suicides In A Row… How Should The Church Respond To Tragedy After Trauma?

In the span of a week, two students who survived the Parkland School Shooting have tragically died in apparent suicides. The first, was Sydney Aiello on Sunday, March 17th. Next, was Calvin Desir on Saturday, March 23rd. Then, on Monday, March 25th,  Jeremy Richland, the father of one of the 26 victims in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting took his own life. While, it is still too early for an explanation into the reasons for their deaths, it is suspected that SydneyAiello was struggling with “survivor’s guilt”. It’s not too hard to imagine that the same could be the reason for the other two deaths. Both of the mass shooting events, as well as many others that have occurred over the last couple decades have been followed by calls for stricter gun control laws and other security measures. What may not appear to be as obvious a need, but probably should be, is greater grief counseling and/or long-term mental health services for survivors of these traumatic incidents.

31 Mar: How to Hear God No Matter Where You’re At

God is speaking all the time, but many people are either unaware or have not been shown how to hear God or recognize His still small voice.I want to share with you some tips I have learned the hard way while developing my ability to “learn to discern” the voice of the Lord.Hearing the voice of God is vital to our spiritual life and maturity. Jesus modeled this for us by getting up early to pray and only doing what He saw the Father doing.

29 Mar: The Spiritual Habit That Will Change Your Life Forever

Losing weight, getting more education and managing debt and stress top the U.S. Government’s list of most popular resolutions for a new year. Certainly, self-betterment in things like health or finances is a noble goal. But issues in these areas are often mere symptoms of an underlying spiritual condition relating to whom or what we each believe that we are—our identities. Consequently, we use money, education, work and so many other means to define ourselves and steer our own destinies. As I mentioned in another article, I’m convinced that Satan loves to trap us in an endless cycle of “strategies” for self-improvement. In doing so, he keeps us on a treadmill where we consistently exert much effort, but get virtually nowhere. At the end of the week, month or year, too often we’re in the same condition in search of yet another regimen in which we can find purpose and meaning.

29 Mar: Faith Moves are Needed Now

On March 14, when I was visiting Israel and Jordan, God began to speak to me that He was going to move His people quickly because a shift was occurring in the heavenly realms, and we needed to cooperate by faith as He was getting ready to move people to change homes, jobs, and relationships, even finances to accomplish where He was taking them. I even believe moving homes means in addition to moving a location, it is also moving blockades in people’s home life with marriages, children, and relationships. However, God said He was doing this before Passover as He was indeed gathering His people for the Festival and they all needed to be in place before the New Year. The New Year according to the Torah begins the 1st day of Nisan this year on April 5, 2019 at sundown, and the Passover begins at the 10th day of Nisan which is April 19, 2019 at sundown. This is very biblical that God would gather His people before the Month of Nisan and Passover. We know God spoke to Moses and said in Exodus 12:2-4(KJV), “ This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.”

29 Mar: True Differences Between Apostolic and Prophetic Function

There has been much confusion regarding the difference between apostolic and prophetic function.

Regarding these two functions, when we examine the Scriptures we find only a slight difference regarding ability in executive leadership roles, the main difference being the actual ministerial expression of leadership ability.

Many view prophetic ministers as folks who merely float from one place to the next as itinerant ministers who give “words of the Lord” to individuals and organizations, but have little or no ability to lead large, effective organizations. This definition is not sufficient in light of biblical teaching and models. Ministers who function like this may very well be “exhorters” who have a prophetic edge rather than functioning in the ascension gift of New Testament prophet.
